Social Providing Model for the Aged and its Installations

Aging is an important problem for most of the countries in the world. by 2000, the aging population will be 1^29 hundred million. It's necessary to study the providing models for the aged and their installations.;There are three models for the aged, including social, family and self|providing, this paper introduces the role of social providing for the aged, both in providing model and aging accretion. At present, the insufficient social providing installations can't meet the demand of aging people. Most of these installations locate in rural areas, and the urban districts, where many aging people live, have fewer installations. The aging has many difficulties to join the rural installations. Most installations were built under the planning economy before 1980's, and are still used for social welfare. Most aging people can not afford the service outlay.;In order to construct the social providing installations for the aged, eight measures should be considered:1) Enduing the social providing installations with family|style service.2) Intensifying the providing function for the aged in communities.3) Constructing the providing system for all kinds of aging people.4) Distributing installations rationally.5) Endeavoring for social subsidezation.6) realizing the sustainable development for social providing.7) increasing the speed for social providing in rural area.8) dealing with the social providing and family providing properly.
