英汉翻译技巧论析

英汉翻译除了一些基本原则之外,尚有许多技巧性问题直接影响到译文的正确与否及质量的高低。一般来说,英文长句的汉译应优先考虑短分译出,然后再根据汉语的表达习惯重新组合;其次考虑在做适当处理后,汉语译文仍为长句。在译文风格选择方面,为了译文准确这一基本目标,宁“原汁原味”,勿“天马行空”。在语态方面,汉语译文则应做更多地转换,采用符合汉语习惯的主动语态。

On the English-Chinese Translation Technigues

In addition to the basic principles of English-Chinese translation practice, there are some techniques that affect the translation correctness. Generally, the long English sentences should be translated into short Chinese ones, but sometimes it is accepted that the Chinese translation should still be long. In order to make the translated version precise, we would rather translate the sentences literally than do them freely according to the meaning. In accordance with Chinese habits, the English passive voice should be translated into the Chinese active voice.
