Analysis and Applying Measures of Materials Used in High-grade Asphalt Pavement in Megathermal and Rainy Areas

Megathermal and rainy climate is a feature of southern areas.It is hard to keep the asphalt concrete pavement stable in high temperature and moisture environment.In order to solve this problem, we explain here one practice we experienced in construction from aspects of aggregate,asphalt, mixing ratio and construction techniques.This example demonstrates that if suitable materials are used,quality of materials is strictly controlled and treated,the quality of high grade asphalt pavement in high temperature and rainy areas can reach the requirements stipulated in specifications,so asphalt concrete can also applied except cement concrete in such envirement.
