Abstract:The occurrence of bombardment-enhanced thermionic emission and the correctness of internal field model have been further proved by measuring the temperature effect on SEE yield and the state of SEE pulse of oxide cathodes. Because of enhanced thermionic emission the SEE yield increases exponentially with temperature when measured at low primary electrons but has little change at high primary electrons. The view of this paper is that the SEE yield measured at high primary electrons accords with true SEE yield of the cathode.
