Abstract:This paper presents the rhetorical charm of advertising English in the perspective of the most common figure of speech: simile and metaphor through the detailed analysis of quite a lot of typical examples; and goes further into the fundamental principles of translation about advertising English based on it, in the expectation that it can enlighten the translators and creators more or less as to advertisements in English.
