基于小波变换和行扫描的车牌定位方法

摘    要:介绍了车牌从预处理到定位的整个过程,车牌预处理部分包括采用运用不等权方法对图像进行灰度化;运用高低帽变换来增强图像的对比度,有利于增强算法的鲁棒性;运用一种新的小波阈值方法来进行图像去噪,有利于去除干扰,突出车牌区域。在车牌定位部分根据车牌自身的特征采用行扫描来对车牌进行定位。实验表明此方法具有较高的准确性,有较高的实用价值。

Abstract:The whole process of plate region detection was proposed. Firstly, the origin image was pre-processed, enhancing the image contrast by Top-hat and bot-hat transformation and this algorithmic was more robust; a new method of image de-noising based on wavelet-threshold was used, it could filter out image interference, and could give prominence to plate region. Finally, line scan based on the license plate characteristics was used for plate region detection. The experimental results show that this method has higher veracity and stronger practicability.
