Abstract:Polyurethane asymmetric membranes were prepared by wet coagulation process from the PU/DMF/Span80/ OT70 solutions, and the morphological features of the cross section of the membranes obtained by scanning electron microscopy were presented. The influences of the non-ionic hydrophobic surfactant Span80 and the anionic surfactant hydrophilic OT-70 on the morphology of the membranes, the mechanical properties and the water vapor permeability were studied. The formation mechanism of the membrane microstructure from the different PU/DMF/Surfactants systems was discussed.
