| Abstract: | A direct method of calculating the secondary moments in statically indeterminate structures caused by post-tensioned tendons is presented. The method not only can avoid the calculations of equivalent loads and resulting moments when using the equivalent loads method to calculate secondary moments, but also can accurately calculate the secondary moments due to the prestressing which is varying along the tendons. |
