摘    要:计算系统包括自然产生的计算系统和人工计算系统两类。计算能力和计算性能是它们的两个最基本的要素 ,其中计算能力是基础 ,计算性能是第二位的。阐明了自然产生的计算系统受到的物质制约、环境制约、发展制约、不可约化的层次体系结构的制约和动态制约等一组广义的概念 ,并以脑神经系统为例讨论了研究这类系统的可能性和面临的挑战。

Abstract:Computational systems include both naturally occurring computational system ( NOCS ) and artificial computational system (ACS). Computational competence and computational performance are two fundamental notions of them. Computational competence is the primary concept, and computational performance is the secondary one. A set of general ideas that serve to delimit concepts of NOCS are presented here. They refer to material constraints, environmental constraints, developmental constraints, hierarchical constraints, dynamical constraints, etc. By exploring the computational competence and computational performance of brain neural system, the possibility and the challenge to study NOCS are also discussed.
