作为东亚文论的重要组成部分，中国文论长期处于世界边缘的地位，在被世界化的过程中丧失了应有的身份性。20世纪此起彼伏发展的西方文论其优势之一就是地缘性。因此，地缘文明是审视东亚文论的一个有益视角。在历史上，东亚地缘文明水乳交融，但当代东亚地缘文明并没有发生更为有效的互动，特别是在文论方面。在东西方文论互动的过程中，不断完善地缘文论，将进一步促进东方文论的自身建设、东西方文论的平等对话与整个世界文论的发展。
