Traffic Management for Multi-Homed Network and Its Application in the Metropolitan Area Network

The solution to implement multi-homed networks with the advanced traffic manager-LinkProof is introduced and compared with traditional solutions in this paper.LinkProof performs specific algorithm called SmartNat,optimal content routing and flexible proximity calculations to eliminate the complexities of routing protocols and uncertain traffic patterns in traditional solutions.It ensures customers to choose the best ISP connection to access specific content and manage the inbound and outbound traffic.Finally,an application pattern of this solution for the customers of MAN is proposed.By analyzing the test results and running performance,it is concluded that this solution not only reduces the rent cost of connections but also makes it possible for customers to obtain the continuous data access and more efficient and reliable network services.
