钛宝石端面泵浦Yb~(3+):YAG激光器输出功率的理论分析

摘    要:从准三能级速率方程出发,模拟分析了940 nm钛宝石激光端面泵浦Yb3+:YAG输出1 030 nm激光的性能.在此过程中,着重考虑了泵浦光的吸收饱和以及Yb3+的自吸收损耗.结果表明:由于输出波长在1 030 nm附近的Yb3+:YAG晶体存在严重的自吸收损耗,入射功率必须足够强时才能有激光输出,因此激光器的阈值较高;同时,自吸收损耗与Yb3+离子浓度、晶体厚度有关,存在最佳的晶体厚度和Yb3+离子浓度,使激光器的输出功率最大.泵浦光的吸收饱和使激光器运转时激光下能级的粒子数减少,吸收系数下降,相同入射泵浦功率时,激光器的输出功率较低.

Abstract:The 1 030 nm output power of Yb3+:YAG laser end-pumped by 940 nm Ti:sapphire laser is studied theoretically,where the model is developed based on the quasi-three-level rate equation.In the derived model,the pump absorption saturation and re-absorption of Yb3+ ion are taken into account.The results show that, due to the significant re-absorption of Yb3+ ion in the lower laser level,it results in the high pump threshold.The loss resulted from re-absorption is affected by the medium length and the active ion c...
