| Abstract: | It is a difficult which to obtain the optimal layout of the PRS (pressure regulator station) for the urban gas distribution system. To solve this problem, no efficient algorithm has been developed. In this paper, some hypotheses are put forward on the basis of the characteristic of the gas system, the lower pressure pipe system is divided into many regions which have the PRS as its centers, and the definition of efficient radius for the PRS is introduced. Based on the above work, an algorithm to obtain the optimal layout of the PRS is developed according to the given average efficient radius. Practical applications show that the method proposed is efficient. |
