| 摘 要： | 以系统功能语言学和批评性语篇分析为理论框架，以互联网上《时代周刊）、《泰晤士报》、《纽约时报》、《华盛顿邮报》、《美联社》、（路透社）和《法新社》的200篇英语政治新闻为语料，运用定量研究方法，总结核心情态动词在英语政治新闻语篇中的分布规律及使用特点；归纳核心情态动词中的中值情态动词would与will在英语新闻语篇中出现频率最高，揭示其背后所隐含的意识形态意义。

| Abstract: | This article attempts to analyze the distribution and usage characteristics of the key model verbs in English political news texts with 200 pieces of English political news as data from the perspective of Systemic Functional Grammar and Critical Discourse Analysis. The data were collected from Time, the Times, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Associated Press, Reuters and Agence France-Presse on the internet and analyzed quantitatively. The results show that among the key model verbs, the middle-value model verbs ＂would＂ and ＂will＂ occur most frequently in English political news texts and reveal its hidden ideological implication. |
