汉法比较句的差异

Differences in Comparative Sentences between Chinese and French

Comparative sentence is an important sentence pattern in both Chinese and French. To expose the major differences between the two languages in this aspect is of vital importance to translation and language teaching.As you know Chinse and French belong to different language families and reveal different language types,which are reflected in comparative sentences by diversified characteristics in lexicon,expression and structure etc.For lexicon,Chinese is somewhat monotonous, while French is much complicated; for expression, Chinese is quite flexible,while French is rather stable;for structure, Chinese is much brief,while French needs to be complete; for features of thinking, the types and objects of comparison in French are much wider than those in Chinese. The distinctive modes of thinking are just the basis which leads to different types of comparative lentences in Chinese and French.
