中西文化语义相左及理据

中国与西方国家，尤其是汉英两个民族的历史、文化、政治、教育、宗教、习俗和社会环境等有很大的差别。汉英两种语言的表达方式各异，词语用法在许多方面存在非对等现象，甚至同一个词语的表达形式在表面意义上大相径庭。有时候同一个事物，由于地域、视觉、兴趣以及认知方法等的差异，赋予它的理据也不同。

Differences of Semantic Meaning Between Chinese and English Culture and the Cause

There are great differences in history, culture, politics, education, religion, traditional customs and social environment between Chinese and English nationalities. Due to different language habits, the words or expressions are often non-equivalent in many aspects; even the form of a same expression is widely divergent in meaning. In many cases an object produces different motivations because of dissimilar regions, visual sense, interest, and the way of cognition of the two nationalities.
