| Abstract: | This paper describes a method of solving problems of thrust bearings with surface roughness effects. Stochastic Reynolds type equations are derived and used to analyze the influence of different types of one dimensional roughness on the performance of thrust bearings. The results are significant to guide the design of thrust bearings. |
