| Abstract: | This paper presents a method with which high precision and real time tracing measurement can be implements on broad band and continuous varying frequency. Such a method adopts a technique of extending two Intel 8253 chips to PC bus and by means of combining software with hardware. This method can also be applied to other series of microcomputers for detecting frequency by virtue of programmable counter chip. |
