| Abstract: | t is found that the uncertainties exist in the processes of sea ice growth, movement and its interaction with structures. The loads in a particular condition of sea ice and structure can be definitely estimated by the methods of modern ice mechanics. A probabilistic method of determining multi-parameter design sea ice loads is introduced in the paper. The stipulation and selection of characteristic parameters for static and dynamic sea ice loads are discussed, and suggestions are presented. |
