| 摘 要： | 英语语言表达式的内涵意义实际上就是语义类别的语用效应,这种效应来自关于该语言表达式外延(或指称)的百科知识,以及使用者的各种经验、信仰和关于使用该表达式的典型语境的倾向。通过对专名、称呼语的语用效应的分析可以发现:内涵意义是随着语境和言语群体的变化而变化的,不受意思、外涵和指称的影响。

| Abstract: | The connotations of a language expression are actually pragmatic effects of meaning,which are closely related to encyclopedic knowledge about its denotation and also to experiences,beliefs,and attitudes towards the contexts in which the expression is typically used.Through the analysis of pragmatic effects of proper names and address forms,the paper discusses the connotations varying from community to community and context to context,unaffected by meaning,denotation and reference. |
