| Abstract: | With the understanding about limitation of project environmental impact assessment (EIA) and desire for sustainable development, the study on Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is becoming more and more important. This article introduces the study development and application on SEA in some developed countries and China, analyses the main barriers and puts forward the key issues that should be considered in the current SEA study. |
