| Abstract: | A test was made on five simply supported beams subjected to two concentrative loads. The means of sticking some strain gauges continuously on the longitudinal rod was used. By using the method of photo-elasticity, sticking the photosensitive sheets on the side of the beam, the photo-elastic analysis was extended to the plastic strain of concrete. The strain and stress figures in the shear span, particularly on the perpendicular section of critical shear resistance (perpendicular section passed the top point of critical inclined crack), were obtained. Which provided a good basis for the solution to shear strength of beams with the principle of ultimate equilibrium. |
