To Learn the Art to Say "No" in Japanese

Japanese advocate the modest virtue and ambiguous expressions. Therefore it is rather difficult for Japanese to say “No” definitely to others. And it is perhaps more difficult for us to master the degree to refuse accurately since we are from different cultural background. The paper is intended to make research and explorations on techniques how to say “No” in Japanese so as to deepen our understanding upon Japan and Japanese culture, and to master the art to say “No” in communication with Japanese and to avoid failure of communication caused by different cultural background.
