在平面应力状态下应用解析法判断主应力的具体方位，尚存在某些矛盾和欠缺，本文以剪应力引起单元体变形的观点，可以简洁而确切地判断主应力所在平面的方位。

A New Approach to Determine the Orientation of the Principal Stress under the State of Plane Stress

Some contradiction and deficiency still remains of determining the orienta- tion of principal stretr under the state of plane stress. Based on the deforma- tion of element acted by shear stresses, this paper gives a method which can ac- curately and easily determine the orientation of the principal stress.
