摘    要:本文叙述测定磁盘机中空气支承动态特性的一种新方法。由于组成空气支承的磁头/磁盘之间的间隙很小(0.1μm至1μm),过去所采用的测试方法或者需要贵重的设备,或者得改变磁头或磁盘的本来结构。作者所采用的方法则将磁头本身所具有的读/写线圈也用作为头/盘间隙变化的传感器,这是根据磁学的 Wallance 公式发展起来的。即磁头读出信号的幅值将被间隙的变化调制,对这种 AM 信号的解调所得的信号就代表了这种间隙的变化。本文除简要地叙述这种测量方法原理外,还介绍了实验装置及实验结果,证明了这种测试方法具有简单易行、频响特性高、精度高等明显优点。

Abstract:This paper presents a new method for measuring the dynamic characteristics ofthe air bearings in magnetic recording devices.Owing to small spacing,typicallyo.lum to lum,such a measurement has been difficult and requires expensiveequipment and/or modification on the slider/disk system.The proposed methodutilizes the read/write head inherent to the magnetic recording device as a spacesenor,thereby eliminating the need for both modification and an external sensor.According to the wallace equation,the amplitude of the readback signal is modulatedby the spacing variation.Hence the AM demodulated signal describes the spacingvariation.The simplicity,wide frequency range and high accuracy of this methodare demonstrated here.
