| Abstract: | Through the analysis of the contacts of the components of the gear pair,the article classfies gear pairs as general plane higher pair and plane rolling pair, and has successfully worked out the methods of classifying plane pairs as well. In addition,the paper solves difficult and complicated problems in calculating the degree of freedom for the mechanism containing the gear pair. |
