| Abstract: | Extensible Markup Language (XML) was endorsed by the World Wide Web Consortium(W3C)in 1998. In this paper, some key features of XML are introduced. Then the XML based database application is focused. A general model of it is provided, and the key technological fields associated with this model are discussed. |
