传统图书馆与数字图书馆在信息服务的内容、性质、功能和信息整理的方法方面具有共性,但知识信息载体、服务模式、工作中心、占有方式、评价标准和传播方式不同。传统图书馆是数字图书馆的基础,数字图书馆进一步突破传统图书馆的时空限制,成为图书馆发展的历史趋势,但并不能取代传统图书馆,因为传统图书馆具有独特的优势,二者呈现出融合发展的新趋势。

The Comparison and Development Trend of Traditional Library and Digital Library

Traditional library and digital library have some similarities in contents, properties and functions of information service and in information sorting method, and have some differences in knowledge information carrier, service mode, work center, possession way, evaluation standard and transmission mode. Traditional library is the base of digital library, and the digital library, which further breaks through the time and space constrains of traditional library, has become the historical trend for library’s development. However, digital library can’t replace traditional library because traditional library possesses unique superiorities. Both the two presents the new trend of fusion development.
