Abstract:A new catalytic spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace Fe(Ⅲ) has been developed which has higher sensitivity and selectivity. The method was based on the catalytic effect of Fe(Ⅲ) on the oxidation of acid Chrome Blue K by hydrogen peroxide.The linear range for the determination of Fe(Ⅲ) was 0.01 μg /mL~0.20 μg/mL and the detection limit is 6.4×10-9 g/L.
