| Abstract: | Presented in this paper is a two-dimensional finite element medel for dynamic analysis of concrete-faced rockfill dams, which can reasonably take both characteristics in construction aspect and force-deformation behaviour into consideration. Then it is applied to the investigation of seismic response of Guanmenshan concrete-faced rockfill dam. The computational results for the reservoir-empty and reservoir-full conditions are analyzed and compared. Some meaningful conclusions on earthquake-resistant behaviour of concrete-faced rockfill dams are drawn. |
