On the Use of Exclamations in Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice is the masterpiece of Jane Austen,a brilliant writer in British literature at the turn of the 18th century.In the novel, Austen made a wide use of a common structure,exclamations,and in a clever way had made them work wonderfully in characterization,theme and the creation of irony.This article explored her use of the structure in terms of the three aspects and thus,from a different perspective,revealed her fantastic skill in artistic expression.
