| Abstract: | Several aspects concerned with the application of magnetic fluid seal for axle ofrevolution are introduced in the paper, which includes the theory and structure of magneticfluid seal as well as the performance of sealed devices. It is emphasized that theperature hasa significant effect on the durability and the resistance to pressure of the magnetic fluid seal.The relationships between the speed of axle rotation and other three factors, i. e. resistantto pressure and power loss and torque, are illustrated. Also the prospets of application ofmagnetic fluid seal are discussed. |
