An overview of the study on Meng Xi Bi Tan

Meng Xi Bi Tan （hereinafter called Bi Tan） has been studied and practiced for over 80 years, which was first carried out by Professor Kezhen Zhu at the beginning of the last century. Many scholars from different fields have made comprehensive research and discussions from their own academic perspectives, including the background of the author, versions, redaction, notes and commentaries, translation and relation, definition of items, academic research and applicable value of Bi Tan in a vast realm and so on, without the least doubt, they have achieved plentiful and substantial progress in various forms. The present study finally concludes that the review of the study contents and achievements of Bi Tan has its peculiar advantages in seizing the overall situation and development trends.
