| Abstract: | Preliminary Studies on the effect of the extract of Stannius corpuscle of female Carassius auratus on the egg-falling of the same species in vitro and the induced spawning of Megalobrama amblycephala were reported.The results indicated that the extract of the Stannius corpuscle of female carassius auratus in spring can stimulate egg-falling in vitro, and the rate of egg-falling increased with the concentrations of the extract in a certain range.Furthermore,the maturation coefficient of the ovaria used for egg-falling has a negative correlation with the extract concentration for the same rate of egg-falling,i.e.the larger the maturation coefficient of the ovary,the lower the extract concentration needed. In addition,the extract has induced a spawning effect on Meqalobrama amblycephala. |
