文化差异在翻译实践中的补偿方法

中西方文化的差异必然会限制英汉两种语言的互译。在翻译中不但要注重语言的研究,更要注重英汉的文化差异,了解英语国家的风俗民情,合理运用恰当的翻译方法:异化法、归化法(增译法、引申法、替代法等)、音译法,才能在翻译实践中更好地补偿文化差异。

The Compensation Methods for Cultural Differences in Translation

The differences between Chinese and Western culture will interfere English-Chinese translation and Chinese-English translation. In translation, more attention should be paid to cultural differences, as well as the study of language itself. Translators with good knowledge of English customs, applying appropriate compensation methods including foreignizing translation, domesticating translation and transliteration, can compensate cultural differences better.
