| Abstract: | Genre analysis is the product of discourse analysis. The basic aim of genre analysis is to study communicative purpose and lingusitic strategy. With genre analysis as the theoretical framework, this paper intends to explore the move structure and linguistic features of English business application letter, aiming to help people better perceive the discourse of English business application letter so as to comprehend and create English business application letter in accord with international convention. |
