The research on content and accounting system of consumption-based carbon emissions

Consumption-based carbon emissions calculate carbon emissions and divide responsibilities as a consumption perspective.It has several advantages compared to production-based carbon emissions,for example,it can solve the problem of carbon leakage in international trade and transport.This paper summarizes the recent advances in consumption-based carbon emissions in international trade and transport,elaborates its content and accounting system,points out its loopholes and lastly highlights some conclusions.And the paper summarizes accounting system of consumption-based carbon emissions,expounds the China is the net export country of carbon emissions in the international trade and proposes the direction of further research.This paper will contribute to the knowledge on how consumption based carbon emissions lead to the a mitigation of climate change and provides a framework for designing international trade and transport policies that lead to environmental protection and reduction of climate change due to carbon emissions.
