| 摘 要： | 二十世纪以来，现代幻想小说在全世界蓬勃发展。在界定幻想小说的基础上．本文试图以托尔金的“第二世界”理论为基点，以托尔金的《魔戒》三部曲为文本，寻找幻想小说的特点，希望对中国现代幻想小说创造提供一点参考。幻想小说的特点分别为：充满想象力的第二世界，充满魔法元素，充满光明与黑暗的对峙，而淳朴与爱是对抗黑暗的力量。
