多媒体文档系统MDS—1的设计与实现

摘    要:传统关系数据库系统由于其关系数据模型的语义表达能力的局限性,难以表示人像和人的声音信息,从而无法支持应用越来越广泛的基于人像和声音特征的查询,文中从数据分析出发,提出一种能同时表达人员相关信息,人像信息和人的声音信息的面向对象数据模型,介绍所研制的基于面向对象数据模型的多媒体文档系统,它能兼容传统关系数据库管理系统的基本功能,并提供了基本SQL查询,示例查询,主观属性查询,模糊概念查询,浏览查询等

Abstract:The tradtional relational database system hardly show information of portrait and human voice due to limitation of semantic express ability; and thus unable to support the increasingly wide applications of queries based on the traits of portrait and human voice. Starting from data analysis, the authors present here an object oriented model which will express information related to personnel as well as information of portrait and human voice at th same time. A representation is then made on MDS 1, a multimedia document system developed by the authors for the object oriented model. By MDS 1, the basic functions of traditional relational database management system can be all embraced; and various methods of query including standard SQL query, query by example, query about subjective attribute, query about fuzzy concept, and query for browsing are offered. Moreover, overall frame of the system, method of data management and algorithms of some major queries are given.
