大熊猫分类的近期研究与进展

８０年代大熊因分类上属于浣熊，熊或独自一科，仍持纽着１２０年以来的争论，自ＯＢｒｉｅｎ等于１９８４－１９８５年进行蛋白持分子与ＤＮＡ系列的研究后，到９０年代，多数西方学者都同意将大熊猫隶属于熊科。但在中国，从生物学的各个方面，包括分子水平的研究，多数学者是仍坚持把大勇猛熊猫独立为一科。

RECENT RESEARCHES AND PROGRESS IN CLASSIFICATION OF THE GINAT PANDA

Whether the giant panda belongs to Ursidae procyonidae of an independent fdmily had been debated until the 1980s, when O' Brien and others posed a series of researches on the Protein and DNA of the giant Panda. until the 1990s,most of the Western scholars agreed that the giant Panda belongs to Ursidae while most of the Chinese scholars insisted that it should be an independent family, considering every factor of biology and researches on the molecular level as well as on Palaeontology. Qiu Zhanxiang and others studied the fossils of the giant panda's ancestors found in Yn Province in 1989. Huang Wanbo studied the giant panda's skulls, mandibles and teeth in 1993. All these studies have fulther Proved that it was in the later Miocene Period that the Ailurarctos and the Ursavus began to develop parallelly: the former had developed to be the Present giant panda while the latter had developed to be the real bears which embrace all present bears of the species Ursidae .
