Abstract:The main span of the Minxuan Bridge is a half-through concrete-filled steel tubular arch bridge with a net span of 90m. It is tested under static loads after the bridge is built. The test data is sorted out and is compared and analysed with the theoretical calculation results. It indicates that the bridge is in the elastic phase under the test loads and that the effect of the material nonlinear and the geometric nonlinear characteristics is very little. The proposal on the construction and the research of the design theory of such bridges is also presented in the paper.
