摘    要:复杂场景的虚拟漫游一直是虚拟现实和图形学领域一个非常重要的课题,它在城市规划、文化传播、旅游工业等领域有着极为广泛的应用前景。本文在原有系统的基础上,将VRML语言构造的整个澳门大学虚拟场景转换成MultiGen格式, 并且在Vega上实现了对整个场景的实时漫游。与原有VRML语言所实现的虚拟场景相比较,新系统使得虚拟漫游更加灵活方便,且速度具有显著的提高。本文将论述格式转换中的若干技术问题。

Abstract:Development of walking-through virtual environments has been an important subject in virtual reality and computer graphics. The technique may be widely applied in many areas such as city planning, culture heritage reservation and tourist industry. Based on a virtual system of University of Macao previously modeled by VRML, a new system is constructed through transforming the virtual environment from VRML to Open Flight format of MultiGen. With the help of Vega, we can walk through the virtual campus in real time, with highly improved performance. In this paper, techniques involved in the transformation are introduced, and key issues related to the performance improvement in the transformation are discussed.
