摘 要: | 维多利亚时代的小说家中,哈代是运用文学典故的翘楚:《圣经》典故、希腊神话甚至是其它的作家作品都被他独具匠心地为自己的小说创作所用。《还乡》是哈代的第六部小说,其所用典故来源广泛,表现内容深刻,令人叹为观止。通过对《还乡》中的原型结构和原型移位手法的解析,揭示了小说中所暗含的哈代的宗教观。

Abstract: | Among the novelists of the Victorian age, Thomas Hardy is the master of using literature allusions : biblical allusions, Greek mythologies and even works of other writers can be creatively applied to his own writing. The Return of the Native is Hardy's sixth novel, and it is a spectacular novel for its broad use of allusions and deep arrangement of content. The usage of allusions can not only add read- ing pleasure when the readers recognize their resources, it can also help the reader understand the deep meaning which the writer wants to express. Through the analysis of the structures of the archetypes and the methods of the displacement, Hardy's religious outlook hid- den in the novel becomes more overt. |
