The Modern Biotechnology and the Protection of Ecological Environment

This paper reviews some new achievements obtained in the research on the environmental protection by using the modern biotechnology,which including the reduction of chemical fertilizers for crop plants and the improvement of the ability of plants' absorbing the heavy metals by using the genetic engineering,the elimination of the pollution source of the weed killers,the production of the degradable plastics,and the development of the new-type genetic engineering based weed killers for the purpose of protecting the ecological environment.
