Scientific Development: An Inevitable Choice for Dali University's Reform and Development--A Conception of the University's Reform and Development during "the 11th Five-Year Plan" Period

During "the 11th Five-Year Plan" Period, we must correctly understand and grasp the theory of scientific development, adopt a viewpoint of scientific development, and keep clear in mind the trend of Dali University's development: scientifically setting up the university's goals of development; well weighing up its tension and seizing any available opportunities in the course of development; and effecting an overall harmonious development and maintaining a capacity for sustained development. Striving for approximately five years, the university is expected to become a regional institution, which will be province advanced, nation famous, and well known, to some extent, in South Asia and Southeast Asia; to become a talent-fostering base, which can tremendously serve and contribute to the region's economic and social progress; and finally, to become a research-fruit incubator and a creator, disseminator of advanced culture.
