| Abstract: | Studying the effect of ionic strength on DNA protection by histone F1 against DNase I has shown a maximum protection near 0,1 M NaCl. At this ionic strength, different results have been obtained by measuring the initial velocity or the amount of DNA hydrolysed at the end of the reaction. |
