赵彦卫“诗笔”概念的变迁

宋人赵彦卫在《云麓漫钞》中认为唐人小说＂文备众体,可以见史才、诗笔、议论＂,这一命题为现当代小说研究者们所普遍认可,并被广泛引用。但＂诗笔＂概念的具体含义在各位学者笔下却大不相同,李剑国、石昌渝认为主要是指小说所具有的诗歌的意境和情绪;吴志达、林辰、程毅中认为是指小说中穿插的诗词;而王恒展、孟昭连则认为二者兼而有之。但在二十世纪三、四十年代,陈寅恪和他的高足刘开荣却认为诗笔是指存在于小说之外的与小说相配并行的诗歌。＂诗笔＂的本义应该是指小说中具有诗歌形式的韵语,但当代学者用＂诗笔＂来指称诗歌的意境和情绪,也是可以被理解和接受的。

The Change of the Concept of "Shibi"

＂Shibi,＂ a feature of fictions during Tang Dynasty,which was put forward by Zhao Yanwei who lived in Song Dynasty,was widely accepted and quoted by scholars.However,different scholars have different inter-pretations of the concept of Shibi.Scholars like Li Jianguo and Shi Changyu believe that Shibi mainly refers to the poetical mood of the novles.Wu Zhida,Lin Chen,and Cheng Yizhong holds that Shibi is the poetical words in the novels.Wang Hengzhan and Meng Zhaolian think that Shibi is the combination of the poetical mood and poetical words.But in the 1930s and 1940s,Chen Yange and his brilliant disciple,Liu Kairong regarded Shibi as the poems which existed independantly and were in juxtaposition with novels.
