An Approach to the Education Development Strategy of Vietnam in the New Century

In the background of the economic globilization and intellectual economization in the 21 century, Vietnam decided to give a priority to the development of education, with the aim to vitalize Vietnamese economy and realize the industralization and modernization of the country. The authors of this article translated and compiled this essay in accordance with some first-hand authoritative material concerned. This essay discusses and analyzes the education development strategy of Vietnam in the new century from six aspects as follows: international environment, domestic situation, task and criterion, the perspective of the year 2020, the reality and objective of 2010, and strategies. The purpose of the article intends to provide Chinese education with some useful and valuable references from our neighbouring countries for the educational reform in China.
