| Abstract: | Artificial seed coat is a new area of biotechnological material, its deepgo-ing study will promote the use of investigation results about somatic embryos in the form of artificial seed for agricultural practice The concept and advantage of artificial seed coat, the present situation of its research at home and abroad, the usage of gel system in the inner layer (artificial endosperm ) and the coating methods of protective membrane (outer layer), the existent problems and solvent methods, and the prospects in the future are introduced and discussed. |
