萨本栋的数学思想

萨本栋的学术贡献无疑主要在物理、机电领域,但在数学方面也做出了开拓性的工作.在美国攻读博士期间,他便把美国人安顿利(Anthony)和亚斯利(Ashley)著述的<画法几何学>翻译成了中文,1926年经商务印书馆出版后,被选为高级中学普通科用书.在厦门大学教授微积分期间编撰的<实用微积分>,经编译馆审定后,成了大学教本.在抗战期间,他设计的七股算仪,更是大大简化了繁难的数学运算.树立了他学术地位的著作<并矢电路分析>,其实是数学、物理、机电三学科交叉领域的综合应用.

SA Ben-dong's Thinking on Mathematics

Professor SA Ben-dong contributed to his science in the field of physics and electro-machine, he also took some exploit in the math. During the process of studying for his doctor degree in the USA, he translated a book of drawing in geometry written by American Anthony and Ashley from English into Chinese. It was chosen as a senior middle-class general textbook by business publishing in 1926. When he taught calculus in Xiamen University, he still edited a book about applied calculus at the same time. Following examining and approving, this book became a textbook for university man. During the course of anti-war, he designed Seven Sections Calculator, which is simple to operate complicated math. After that, he set up his science work Dyadic Circuit Analysis. In fact, it integrates with math, physics and electro-machine.
